How to Apply for Facebook N500M Grant – For Small Businesses In Nigeria

Facebook is accepting application for grant worth  ₦500M from Nigerians and South Africans to support 781 small businesses in the countries.

This grant is a part of the  $100m Global Grants Program aimed supporting 30,000 SMEs in over 30 countries and Nigeria and South Africa are the two selected countries in Africa to enjoy this grant.

This program plans to allocate  ₦400,128 in cash grants and  ₦240,077 in ad credits to help small businesses affected by Covid-19.

To qualify for the Facebook grant, The following are considered

  • Your business must be a for-profit business
  • You must have a minimum of 2 and maximum of 50 employees
  • Your business should be over 1 year
  • Your business had experience challenges during the covid-19 pandemic
  • Be in or near a location where Facebook operates.

Required Documents for the grant

  • While completing your application, you will be required to supply your most recent financial statements or accounts along with legal document that proves your business has been established for at least one year; i.e. your annual tax return, business registration document (CAC documents), business license or partnership agreement.
  • You will also be asked to provide your full financial statements or accounts for your business. The financial statements you will be providing should include at least one balance sheet and another income statement/profit or loss statement. An income statement/profit or loss statement includes a summary of your income, expenses and profit for a year. Abridged financial statements or accounts will not be accepted. When you are asked to submit this documents, do well to upload these them in a PDF format
  • You might be asked to provide further documents at a later stage in the process.

Note: The application start from 2pm on 24 August 2020 and ends on 5pm 04 September 2020.
